In June 2009, FINRA announced that Frances Ann Reams, then employed with Wachovia Securities, LLC in Roanoke, Virginia, had been suspended from FINRA for a period of three months. Without admitting or denying the findings, Reams consented to the entry of findings that she altered a customer’s option account agreement and without the customer’s knowledge or authorization so that it would reflect that the account was approved for an additional trading strategy. The findings further stated that by altering the agreement without the customer’s knowledge or consent, Reams caused a business record of Wachovia’s to be inaccurate and violated FINRA Rules 2110 and 3110.
