Mahesh Pravin Jhala Barred from Securities
FINRA recently announced that Mahesh Pravin Jhala, formerly of Investors Capital Corp. in Mayfield Village, Ohio, has been bared from association with any FINRA member in any capacity. Without admitting or denying the findings, Jhala consented to the described sanction and to the entry of findings that he privately charged a customer who maintained multiple family securities accounts at his member firms a total or approximately $58,690 for his services as a registered representative, in addition to commissions and other compensation he received through his firms for services provided to the customer. The findings further stated that Jhala provided no additional services to the customer that justified the additional fees and concealed the private charges from his firms.
According to his FINRA BrokerCheck (CRD), prior to working as a registered representative with Investors Capital Corp., Mahesh Jhala worked as a registered representative with Questar Capital Corporation, a Minneapolis, Minnesota broker-dealer, and Capital Brokerage Corporation, a Richmond, Virginia broker-dealer.
