Bruce Plyer Barred from Securities Industry

Bruce Plyer

Bruce Plyer – Morgan Stanley – Florham Park, New Jersey

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the regulator has barred financial advisor Bruce Plyer from the securities industry. FINRA states in the Letter of Acceptance, Waiver and Consent that Plyer “failed to appear and provide FINRA with requested on-the-record testimony in connection with an investigation concerning allegations that he engaged in unauthorized trading in customer accounts.”

Plyer’s broker report states that he was registered with Morgan Stanley in Florham Park, New Jersey from June 2009 until December 2016 when he was dismissed for “Allegations regarding the former registered representative’s execution of trades in clients’ accounts without authorization.”

Further, Plyer has 4 customer complaints listed on his FINRA BrokerCheck report. Allegations include unsuitable and excessive margin trading, and misrepresentation among others. More recently, Plyer was affiliated with International Assets Advisory in Morristown, New Jersey.

For FINRA’s full findings see FINRA case number 2016052649001.

Failure to Supervise

The White Law Group is investigating potential claims involving Bruce Plyer and the liability his employers may have for failure to properly supervise his alleged activities.
