Danial Khan (aka Atiq Khan) – Transamerica – Covina, CA
According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the regulator has reportedly barred former financial advisor Danial Khan from the securities industry in a default decision on September 27, 2018.
Khan was reportedly named a respondent in a FINRA complaint alleging that he failed to timely appear for testimony in response to two requests sent to him by FINRA in connection with its investigation into whether he had improperly solicited general securities and whether he had improperly inserted himself as the beneficiary on a customer’s insurance policy. The complaint alleges that subsequently, Khan completely failed to respond to two additional requests for documents sent to him by FINRA.
According to his FINRA BrokerCheck report, Kahn was registered with Transamerica Financial Advisors in Covina, CA from January 2012 until December 2016 when he was fired.
His broker record stated, “Firm identified certain customers who confirmed that representative had solicited them to purchase general securities products. Representative was not permitted by the firm to engage in the solicitation of such products. Additionally, the firm was advised by a provider company that Representative had improperly inserted himself as the beneficiary on a customer account.”
