According to public disclosures on FINRA’s website, Michael J. Rappa was reportedly barred from the securities industry after allegations were made that he engaged in undisclosed and unapproved private securities transactions.

FINRA’s findings stated that Rappa allegedly solicited investors to purchase promissory notes relating to the Woodbridge Group of Companies, a purported real estate investment fund.

Rappa reportedly “sold $2,731,287 in Woodbridge notes to 21 investors, six of whom were firm customers.  He received a total of $109,939 in commissions in connection with these transactions,” according to a Letter of Acceptance, Waiver & Consent.

Later Woodbridge reportedly filed a voluntary Chapter 11 bankruptcy petition.

According to his FINRA BrokerCheck report, Rappa was reportedly affiliated with Foresters Equity Services in San Diego, CA from Sept. 2010 until July 2017.

He purportedly has 2 pending customer complaints reported on his broker record in 2018. Allegations include unsuitable private securities transactions.
