Are you concerned about investments with Ricky A. Mantei in Lexington, SC? If so, the securities attorneys at The White Law Group may be able to help you by filing a FINRA Dispute Resolution claim.

According to public records, Ricky A. Mantei (aka Ricky Alan Mantel) is reportedly under investigation by the Colorado Securities Commission for the alleged sales of structured certificates of deposit. Mantei reportedly works in Lexington, SC, but supervises another broker, Cindy Chiellini, who was reportedly registered in the state of Colorado, as well as South Carolina.

According to the charges, the Colorado securities commission started its examination earlier this year in connection with an “unusual number of documented complaints against” Chiellini.

According to his FINRA BrokerCheck report, Mantei has been reportedly affiliated with Centaurus Financial in Lexington, SC since 2015, and prior to that we worked for J.P. Turner for 5 years. He reportedly has 25 (twenty-five) customer complaints indicated on his broker report for allegations of unsuitable investments, among others. Mantei “vehemently denies any wrongdoing and asserts that the customer’s allegations are completely without merit.”

Most of the investments noted in the complaints were alternative investments, that may include notes with principal protection or high-yield bonds that have lower credit ratings and higher risk of default but offer more attractive rates of return, according to the Colorado securities commission.

Investigating Potential Lawsuits

The White Law Group is investigating potential securities fraud lawsuits regarding the liability that Mantei’s employers may have for failure to properly supervise him.

When brokers violate securities laws, such as making unsuitable investments, the brokerage firm they are working with may be liable for investment losses through FINRA Arbitration.

Brokerage firms that fail to monitor the business activities of their employees may be liable for investment losses due to negligent supervision for the misconduct of their employees.
