 According to public records, John Joseph Cahill has reportedly been barred from the securities industry on January 2.  Cahill reportedly refused to provide documents and information and to appear for on-the-record testimony requested by FINRA in connection with an investigation into allegations that he commingled and/or converted funds belonging to, and served as power-of-attorney for, an elderly individual who was his customer while he was associated with his former member firm.

According to his FINRA BrokerCheck report, Cahill was reportedly affiliated with Janney Montgomery Scott in Upper Saddle River, NJ from 2013 until 2019 when he was purportedly dismissed after allegations. Cahill reportedly has one customer complaint and two employment separations, according to his broker report. Allegations include unsuitable investment recommendations.

 Investigating Potential Lawsuits
