Washington Reportedly Bars Advisor Brendan P. Shaw for Allegedly High Risk, Unsuitable Investments

According to public records on the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority’s website, in March 2019, Washington Securities Division reportedly barred Shaw from working as a broker or investment advisor and fined him $20,000.00 based upon allegations that he purportedly misrepresented highly risky and speculative options transactions that allegedly failed to be suitable for the customer.

According to his broker report, Shaw was reportedly registered with Purshe Kaplan Sterling Investments in Scottsdale, AZ from 2012 through 2016. Shaw reportedly has 3 pending customer complaints indicated by his broker report. Allegations include fraudulent, unsuitable investments and excessive trading, failure to supervise, and “use of manipulative, deceptive, and fraudulent actions.”
