According to S&P Global, rent collections for the month of May were down significantly for publicly traded REITs. In the case of Weingarten, 62% of May rents were paid as of June 1, according to S&P Global.
Unfortunately for investors, shares of Weingarten Realty Investors are down -33.64% YTD, according to MarketWatch.
