Madison Avenue Investor Lawsuits Allege Unsuitable sales of GPB private placements

The White Law Group is continuing to investigate potential securities claims involving GPB Capital private placement investments.

According to an article in Investment News on June 22, 2021, financial advisor Jeffrey Dixson of Vancouver, Washington reportedly has numerous customer lawsuits filed against him and his firm, Madison Avenue Securities for allegations of improper sales of GPB Capital offerings.

In February 2021 the CEO of a GPB Capital Holdings, a New York-based registered investment adviser, and two others were arrested in connection with a massive “Ponzi-like scheme” that allegedly defrauded 17,000 investors across the U.S. out of more than $1.7 billion, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York.

According to Dixson’s broker report, he was reportedly affiliated with Madison Avenue Securities from November 2007 until December 2019.

Dixson’s customers are reportedly alleging the investments were unsuitable, that there was a lack of due diligence, and over-concentration, among others. He currently has 21 complaints on his record, with nine pending nine that have been settled.

According to the BrokerCheck report, nine of the complaints reportedly mention GPB by name.
