FINRA Bars former Advisor Nathan Katz after Allegations of Misconduct

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the regulator has reportedly barred Nathan Gersteen Katz (CRD#: 846475) from association with any FINRA member at any time.   FINRA reportedly barred Katz after he failed to provide testimony in its investigation of allegations that Katz recommended short-term switching of mutual funds. FINRA also reportedly alleged that Katz forged customer signatures on switch letters, and purportedly used discretion without authorization.  Further he reportedly allegedly failed to timely disclose certain judgments and liens.

According to his Broker report, Katz was reportedly affiliated with Triad Advisors in Largo, FL for 18 year until he was allegedly discharged. He made the move to American Independent Securities Group in 2018 until he was reportedly fired in January 2021.

Katz apparently has a history of broker misconduct including 3 employment separations, 4 judgment/liens, and 5 customer complaints filed against him during his career in the securities industry, according to his FINRA broker report. Allegations include unauthorized trading, mismanagement of accounts and “unprofessional behavior,” among others.
