Roberto Etiel Rodriguez, formerly of Leumi Investment Services Inc. in Miami Beach, Florida, barred from FINRA for securities violations.

FINRA recently announced that Roberto Etiel Rodriguez, formerly of Leumi Investment Services Inc. in Miami Beach, Florida, has been barred from the securities industry in any capacity. Without admitting or denying the findings, Roberto Rodriguez consented to findings that, acting in concert with an unregistered individual, he executed an unauthorized transfer of $133,956 from an inactive bank account held at an affiliate bank of his member firm (Leumi Investment Services) to an unrelated third-party account at another financial institution, without the authorization or knowledge of the bank or anyone exercising control over the account.

Rodriguez was terminatd by Leumi Investment Services and his conduct resulted in an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Leumi Investment Services Inc. is a FINRA registered broker-dealer based in New York City, and is affiliated with the Bank Leumi Le Israel. According to its FINRA Broker Report (CRD), Leumi Investment Services, Inc. has been named in three regulatory events, but has not been the subject of any reportable customer complaints related to securities fraud.

According to its website, Bank Leumi le-Israel B.M. was founded in 1902 and is the preferred gateway to Israel for international executives and investors. The website further stated that, within Israel, the bank actively supports all key sectors of the economy with a full and innovative range of financial services. Finally, the firm’s website claims that the Leumi Group, an investment division of the bank, serves clients around the world through more than 300 branches and offices in Israel, major world financial centers in 21 countries, and a broad network of correspondent banks.
