Trinity Council – Giokas Wealth Management – Investigating Potential Lawsuits
Have you suffered losses investing in Trinity Council at the advice of former financial advisor Michael Giokas? If so, the securities attorneys may be able to help you by filing a FINRA Dispute Resolution claim.
In 2017, Giokas allegedly advised clients at his company, Giokas Wealth Management, to invest in Trinity Council, a shell company, allegedly promising clients a return of 8-9% per year and creating false promissory notes to convince them the investment was legitimate. Instead, Giokas was reportedly living a lavish lifestyle with his clients’ money.
According to the Buffalo News on May 15, 2019, Giokas was sentenced to 52 months in prison for fraud. “Giokas’s sentence stems from his guilty plea to a felony fraud charge and his admission that he cheated clients out of $1.4 million and used much of the money for personal expenses,” according to the news report.
The White Law Group is investigating potential securities fraud claims involving the sale of Trinity Council to Giokas Wealth Management clients.
